Mission: The Associates Council will help Hunger Free AmericaTM to advance our mission by engaging young people in the NYC area and beyond, particularly through organizing social events geared toward young professionals to spread awareness about food insecurity and the domestic anti-hunger movement.
Allison is a Public Health student at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon specializing in Community Health Education. She is a long time advocate and lobbyist for the Oregon Food Bank and Hunger-Free Oregon, through which she was awarded ‘Volunteer of the Year’ by her hometown of Tigard, Oregon for her work in founding a food assistance ‘Backpack Program’ for children in her local school district. Allison is a member of Rotary International and was the youngest civic representative in the local 'Leadership Tigard’ council with aspirations to one day be elected to the Oregon House of Representatives. She hopes to continue to work in combating food insecurity state and nationwide through both root cause activism and promoting volunteerism and charitable giving.
